Way to go, Bonney Lake

Bonney Lake, is this what you really wanted?

Oh that's right.  It was.

  1. What about the Park and Rides that take riders to the Sounder? What about the cities that will experience huge increases in street parking because they had created parking for the Sounder with consideration that the Park and Rides would offset a lot of the cars? Are there statistics that show that these routes weren’t popular? All the buses from Bonney Lake P&R to the Sounder are always full. It seems like you are punishing the “outsiders” for voting no on the last ballot. It was presented that even if we passed the vote Pierce Transit would drop most of the routes that serve Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake and Buckley. So why should they have voted for it?

  2. Shannon tea
Your community voted against transit consistently even with the promise of more bus service. Whether it was a PT vote or a ST vote. The elimination of transit service for the suburbs, and the severe reduction of transit service within Tacoma is largely due to the persistent lack of support by people living in suburban Pierce County. If you want someone to blaime, look in the mirror, or across the street at your neighbor.
